Game 71 – June 28th
2 – California
1 – Royals
WP – Kirk McCaskill (8-6)
LP – Bret Saberhagen (7-7)
SV – Donnie Moore (10)
Snorrrrre. 8 hits, but we couldn't connect when it mattered. Brett went 0-4 and left 5 on base. Won't sit him or let him bat anywhere else though. Sheridan went 2-4 with the lone RBI.
Game 72 – June 29th
4 – California
5 – Royals
WP – Bud Black (6-4)
LP – Jim Slaton (3-6)
SV – Dan Quisenberry (12)
Collins, Motley, and White all hit solo home runs, and White knocked in 3 all together. Quisenberry gave up a solo shot to Juan Beniquez in the 9th (who also had 4 hits), but we had a 2-run lead so the damage was limited.
Game 73 – June 30th
1 – California
7 – Royals
WP – Charlie Leibrandt (8-7)
LP – Ron Romanick (4-10)
I like the games that manage themselves. Leibrandt walked 5, but only gave up 4 hits and didn't allow much damage, only 1 run and no extra base hits.
Everyone in the lineup got a hit. Collins had 3 with 3 RBI's. Brett had a 2-run homer, his 13th of the season.

Houston offered SS Dickie Thon in a trade, and while an intersting idea, they want Steve Farr and I can't move a reliever who's having a semi-acceptable season.
Mark Huismann has struck out 11 in 7 innings. He's also given up 3 home runs.
Top 3 for American League Pitching WAR are Britt, Bert, and Bret...
