After going 2-8 on their home stand, the Colt .45s begin an 11 game road trip with a three game weekend series in Los Angeles against the Dodgers. The Colt .45s have not allowed a run in their last 18 innings. The Dodgers have won nine straight and are 13-2 in the month of June. The Dodgers lead the season series 10-1.

The Colt .45s placed SS Don Buddin on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 14.

Baltimore Orioles SP Dave McNally has a torn UCL and will be out for 10-11 months.

Howard followed with a 393 foot bomb to right for the Dodgers third home run of the inning. Dean Stone took the mound for the Colt .45s after the Howard homer.

Ed Roebuck took the mound for the Dodgers in the top of the eighth.

Dave Giusti took the mound for the Colt .45s in the bottom of the eighth.

Larry Sherry took the mound for the Dodgers in the top of the ninth.

The Dodgers got 11 hits in the victory.
