Plus, when I initially ran into the problem I was waiting for a whole bunch of videos to upload. Not the best time to turn off the internet to open a game.
It isn't a huge issue and there is a work around, but it's still an issue.

You should only have to switch off the wifi on your laptop. Open OOTP and then turn it back on. Still a bit of a pain but its only 2 clicks extra of the mouse total.
