Well both. When I was testing it today I was plugged into a wired network. Have to disable (or unplug) that and turn off the WiFi.
Plus, when I initially ran into the problem I was waiting for a whole bunch of videos to upload. Not the best time to turn off the internet to open a game.
It isn't a huge issue and there is a work around, but it's still an issue.
