I well recall my '64 replay when the AL's LA Angels were on fire until the All Star break, leading the Yanks, Sox and Orioles and then the Angels tanked, allowing the O's to win. Having conducted several replays, I've been quite impressed w/ the league and individual stats produced by the game engine!!

I'm currently playing 1919. I'm not using real transactions or real lineups though. Cincinnati is running away with the NL as we enter August. They have a 9 game lead over the Giants and the Pirates. Plus, they managed to fleece the Cubs for the services of Pete Alexander in a trade. Now the AL is looking to be a closer race. The White Sox got off to a ho-hum start and only recently righted the ship. A great July has them a top the AL. But, two surprises are right there with them, St. Louis and Washington. Boston is in 4th and could still be a factor as well.
