I was doing an opener/follower/stopper experiment during our initial entry pool league phase. Had a whole rotation of openers (mostly RPs), followers (mostly SPs), and stoppers. I quickly realized that even though my followers/SPs were only pitching 1-3 IP they were becoming exhausted just as quick as any other RP. I think the stamina degradation has changed from 19. I still think its beneficial to have one SP in the pen to soak up long relief but it definitely won't save your other RPs. An appearance alone seems to take away a huge amount of stamina after the game.
