The grumbling has started. With player costs skyrocketing, talent dilution and franchises in trouble the NHL and WHA have begun merger talks.

Each league currently has 18 teams. The NHL always had a goal of 24 teams by 1980 so they are considering taking on 6 WHA teams to end the madness, with no more than half from Canada. The NHL may be talked into accepting more teams.

Everyone can vote for 3 teams to survive.

Every WHA team receiving a vote in this round will go to a final round of voting (unless only 6 teams receive a vote then we'll just take those).

I will vote in the initial round.

I will tie break if needed in the final round.
