Important: This patch is only for OOTP 20 versions which were purchased directly from us or resellers who use our version. It is also available via the Steam client.
It is NOT compatible with the Origin or Mac OSX AppStore version!

Hi!

First, let me thank everboy for making this the best launch we ever had, sales are super, people love the game and our tech support had the most quiet release day ever, by far.

Yet, we have been working hard over the weekend and are done with patch #1! However, we won't make it live officially until tomorrow as we'd like the patch to receive some more testing through a public beta. So here it is!

We have tested this build for 24 hours and did not find any issues, however use this at your own risk! Please back up important league files before loading them in this beta.

Please do note that this version (20.0.28) is not compatible with the previous releases (20.0.26 or earlier) in online leagues, so all members of an online league should not install this beta!

Changelist (20.0.28):
- Fixed rare crash in CPBL compensation
- Fixed players being backups twice at a position
- Added exit velocity to game logs, spray chart
- Added hint text to spray charts on click
- Fixed description when releasing rule 5 picks
- Fixed draft picks not being elligble to be dealt in some cases
- Fixed multiple live start issues: no more zero stats, wrong boxscore parsing, incorrect team runs values
- Fixed issues when alternating between watching multiple games/viewing spray charts
- Fixed bug in large playoff brackets
- Fixed bug that caused injuries to be enabled when checking historical transactions after league creation
- Tweaked several financial numbers for teams in international leagues in the default game
- Fixed light background for PbP in classic skin & classic 2D game view
- Added a system out of memory protection mecanism to save game progress before any risk of memory usage game crash
- Fixed leagues with foreigner restrictions by taking into account the secondary nations of players when making the foreigner checks
- Fixed issues when alternating between watching multiple games/viewing spray charts
- Added hint text to spray charts on click
- Fixed relievers showing up in qualified SP on league stats page
- Fixed bug in large playoff brackets
- Adjusted trade logic for superstars, financial considerations
- Fixed notifications appearing while playing out games
- Fixed mismatch between scouting reports
- Fixed pennant chase percents
- Fixed AI pitch limits in KBO, ***, and other foreign leagues
- Fixed stars being truncated when exporting player list data to disk
- Fixed unreadable defense selection menus in moder 3D skin
- Fixed eSellerate version freezing when not connected to the internet
- Error message if the preseason prediction report fails to run instead of just showing 1 game for each team
- Updated historical minor league database to include 2018 and fixed various database errors
- PT: Fixed login problems for users who own a huge number of cards
- PT: Tweaked label for sold cards that got sold / bought via "Buy Now"
- PT: Updated various cards & missing pictures, for example Bryce Harper
- PT: Fixed crash for cards list when owning more than 8,192 cards. Now only the top 8,000 will be shown, depending on sort / filter.
- Several other small bug fixes

How to access the beta on Steam:

Quit OOTP 20 if it's running.
Open Steam client -> Library
Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 20
Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu
Click on the beta tab. Here, enter the following code / password: ootp20pubbeta
Open the beta pull-down and select "publicbeta".
Close the Steam client (Steam menu -> Exit)
Open the client again. It should then download the beta build.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

Here's a PC installer that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:
