With all due respect, how are they supposed to put the new fixes in the game on your or my desktop or laptop, using magic spells?
We need to download the software with the fixes to incorporate the updates. Windows does this with Windows10 by taking control of one's computer and updating even if we don't want it to happen at that moment, because we are doing something important like work with a short deadline, watching cute cat videos on YouTube or playing OOTP20.
At least these guys give us the option of when and how to download the updates. But I don't know any system of any kind that can update itself from its own internal resources without incorporating information or resources from outside. Our bodies eat external food sources to regenerate for example.
