 Seriously, how is the MLB going to police injuries here? I admit I haven't been paying much attention, but what's to stop relievers from faking injuries? All the other rules I'm totally cool with but this one is just dumb.

 Easy.  If you replace a pitcher before his batters are up due to injury, then a stint on the DL is automatic.  
Having said that this rule is bunch of crap.  Baseball continues to be ruined.  Fixing what ain't broke.... there used to be a saying about that.
