I tend to agree...this is a numbers driven game. Everything is hosted in a .db and there are other numbers (not exposed to us) that drive the outcome.

We do know what the top 100 looks like in the PT universe. It is filled with teams that have a majority of high end rare cards.

I took a quick look at the year end results of about 100K players and about 12% of the players in the top1000 are cards ranked lower than 90.

If we look at top performances, only 2 players are in the top200 ranked lower than 90.

10% of the top1000 is Cobb/Ruth/Seymour.

Of course the data has its flaws...example

- majority of players tend to use higher ranked cards so lower ranked ones could have performed as well if given more chances.
- a higher defense value on a lower card could correlate to wins.
- I don't know if my year end results tell the full story (lots of runs in a blowout is less important than a critical hit in another situation).

If there is a .db field for clutch performance, Zorro could get wins by using the right player in the right situation.
