It's funny; I was just having this debate with myself this morning over another game.
Steam - Pros:
1) Easy installation.
2) Automatic updates.
3) Quick access to manuals, mods, etc.
4) Interaction with Steam Community if desired.
Steam - Cons:
1) You never really own the game; you just rent it.
2) That's because you depend on the continued viability of Steam.
3) You have no control over version updates; they just come on down.
4) Modding Steam games may not be as easy as the downloaded versions.
