Now I do not get to watch him every game so Maybe he comes through in big spots with important hits which some cards do and some cards don’t. I know the Breakers are in first place so maybe I am missing something about that Brett. That is why when you and the Dog starting talking about him I had to ask. On paper he does not seem to be worth a diamond but like I said I do not get to see him play and he is playing for some winners so maybe he is one of those big hit time cards like Guerrero is when the game is on the line and the box score does not tell the tale? 🤷*♂️
My Brett is fairly new (I flipped a consistent under-performing Rolen Diamond for a Perfect Bonds and Eck) but this season is his best with me by far with his first AS nod and among all 3B leaders in a few categories
: HRs (2nd), RBIs (4th) SLG (1st), OPS (2nd), WAR (2nd). Anyone can have a lucky year though. My sample size is too small to compare if Brett is a consistent performer or not. Consistency is the most valuable trait. For the Breakers, Cy Seymour wins that category hands down.
