Aaron Nola allowed one run over seven innings and Rhys Hoskins homered twice to power St. Louis to an 8-2 win over Kansas City at Busch Stadium,
With the win, the River Walkers swept the two-game series with the Pit Masters.
Down 1-0, St. Louis grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning and Nola did the job himself with a two-run double off Masters starting pitcher Jameson Taillon.
That lead grew to 4-1 an inning later, when Hoskins hoisted the first of his two long balls in the game with a two-run shot off Taillon.
Hoskins second homer came two innings later, driving in the first two runs of a four-run bottom of the eighth.
Doubles from Andrew Benintendi and Adeiny Hechavaria plated the inning's other two runs.
Outside a single run in the second inning, Nola impressed allowing six hits while striking out nine and walking none.
