Tucker Barnhart snapped a 2-2 tie with a solo home run off Cedar Rapids starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner and St. Louis held on for a 3-2 win at Busch Stadium.
With the win, St. Louis took two of three games in their series with the Golden Grapplers.
St. Louis starting pitcher Aaron Nola had a strong outing, allowing two runs on five hits over six innings. He struck out 10 and walked two.
Four Walkers came out of the 'pen -- Grant Dayton (1.2 IP), Reyes Moronta (0.1), Jake Diekman (0.0) and Daniel Hudson (1.0) -- to seal the win.
Hudson earned his fourth save.
Bumgarner was solid as well. He pitched six innings, allowing three runs on six hits.
Cedar Rapids took a 2-0 lead when it scored both of its runs off Nola in the third inning.
Victor Robles and Yoan Moncada both had RBI singles.
The Walkers tied it in the bottom half of that inning.
Albert Almora and Andrew Benintendi both had run-scoring singles off Bumgarner.
