If you are in an entry pool you'll get placed in a bronze league on Monday, and that will function more like a league with divisions and a 162 game schedule.
The universe screen (Main > Perfect Team Universe) lists how many teams are promoted and relegated at each level. This year 4 Bronze teams are promoted, while 6 Silver teams are promoted and 2 relegated. When 4 are promoted it'll be each of the four teams playing in League Championships.
