Cedar Rapids' Madison Bumgarner pitched six shutout inning to lead the Golden Grapplers to a 3-1 win over the St. Louis River Walkers at Shibe Park.
Bumgarner (10-12) scattered five hits during his time on the mound. He struck out five and walked one.
St. Louis finally got on the board when Rhys Hoskins hit a solo homer off Jacob Rhame in the top of the eighth inning.
By that time, the Grapplers led 3-0.
Rhame, who relieved Bumgarner, got out of the eighth inning without further damage. Danny Grigg pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for his 34th save.
Cedar Rapids broke open a scoreless game in the bottom of the third, when Dominic Smith collected an RBI double off Walkers starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks.

Victor Robles had a run-scoring single in the same inning.
A Yoan Moncada double off Hendricks in the fourth inning made it 3-0.
