The St. Louis River Walkers exploded for five runs in the top of the 11th inning to defeat the Cedar Rapids Golden Grapplers 8-3 at Shibe Park to complete the sweep of a doubleheader.
Albert Almora gave St. Louis the lead with a two-run double off Thomas Hackimer. The next batter, Andrew Benintendi, expanded on it with a three-run homer. His 40th of the season.

An RBI single in the top of the ninth from Ender Inciarte of Danny Grigg had given St. Louis a 3-1 lead.
The Grapplers, however, tied it in the bottom half of the inning on Matt Duffy's two-run, two-out double off Andrew Miller.
The game was scoreless into the bottom of the sixth until Cedar Rapids' Clint Frazier hit a solo homer off St. Louis starter Trevor Bauer.

A run-scoring single from Almora and RBI double by Benintendi in the top of the eighth against Arodys Vizcaino had put St. Louis in front 2-1.
Bauer was impressive allowing the one run on six hits over six innings. He struck out five and walked one.
Grapplers starter Kevin Gausman was even better with six scoreless frames. He scattered five hits while striking out one and walking none.
