for the last 10 mins or so i've been experiencing what i typically see. 1:55- 2:02 EST?
had to log back in once to fix already. was stuck on a reload trying to log back in.
closing and re-opening fixes, but i lose anything i was typing, etc. copy/paste avoids any re-typing, though, when i remember to do so.
mitch:
1.1.1.1 ? imo, that's the best one to use. i get the best resutls with it compared to other options. (quantitative reasoning, not qualatative or feelings)
use that, don't use google's. latnecy will be ~10ms, likely better than google's (think they are 4.4.8.8? 8.8.8.8? or maybe it's 8.8.4.4 for the 2nd one)
this also helps keep your ISP out of your business when browsing. they can no longer monitor exactly where you go -- Even with a VPN, lol... becaue you are using their DNS. using google is not keeping anyone out of your business, it's inviting them with a big fancy invitations and a handshake while you pull your pants down and bend over

.
change it on your router, not just the Windows connection.. in fact just leave that as default. the router is what you want to change for the DNS. that way you don't have to do set it manually for every computer you connect.
EDIT: use 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 as secondary. do change it on router and each individual PC (ipv4 properties under each connection's properties).
i just looked and mine was auto-filling a secondary dns on one of my connections. it was my vpn's dns but that's a junky one. and.. taking forever to save this edit...
