You would never need 2 license on 1 computer. Unless you were say running virtual environments with multiple accounts or multiple steam accounts.
If you just wanted to give Devs money, that's cool. But its completely unnecessary to have multiple licences on the same computer at least technology speakin.

It IS necessary when you want to run 2 copies simultaneously. The way I figure it, $5 for Markus & the gang is a small price to pay to not even worry about a license issue, and I now have freedom to test some limits & ideas. I've already learned that the sharing of a set of data files is a bit more daunting a problem than it seems, as when I tried it I got the app repeatedly trying to re-install the basic rather than using the custom path from a game. I've learned that unlike older versions of OOTP, where you could drop an alias in the App Support folder and utilize one set of logos/BP pix/Player pix across several versions...that doesn't work out under 19. I'm not too sure why. Check out the screen cap of my OOTP folder and you'll understand why I might want to do that...if I share across 17/18/19, I can save the larger part of 40GB x 2. That's some HUGE disk space.
There are a lot of other things that can be done with 2 copies. As I have 1 Mac that'll run 19 and like to play, "What happens if I..." it's going to be nice to have 2 copies: one for everyday usage, and one to mess around with where if I screw things up, I just delete that area and start over with no great loss.
