yeah that's ~1000 2b and ~450 3b off from recent decades, i think. it's been a while since i worked out some LTM to be more familiar with the actualy averages.

way too few K's ... lol the mlb hasn't been that low in a decade or more. too many walks in about equal amounts, but not proportional obviously. shift 2k the othe rway and it's closer... still too few SO with that added, actually.

maybe a BA ~.250... it hasn't dipped far below that too often in recent years.. although 248 last season is one of the lowest in recent years... ~.255 can easily vary down into .248 range in a 30t ootp league, methinks. unless we continue to see .240's league BA, it's a bit early to assume such a shift. it's been ~.255 for quite a while, now -- basically, since the shift to hr-powered offense.

if you want to change it -- load up a mlb leauge and copy it... or i make my own, but you want a spreadsheet to calculate some sutff for you so it all jives.

unfortuantely, SF is a good guess based on many long term sims. we don't see this value in Stats and AI. you can only know it with 100s of years simmed in hindsight, or do that first before starting league. 1150-1250 is going to cover what the average is for SF.. and upto ~100 off out of 165000 isn't too big of a deal.

anyway when i change things on the spreadsheet it recalculates the other stuff automatically... my k's are probably a bit low and my hr are a bit low, but i have a higher BA than recent trends... i am not trying to mimic RL, but rather what i prefer to reality. setup a little spreadsheet liek this and make it mimic RL or anything you want.

ALWAYS recalculate the modifiers after changing league totals... do not do this midseason, as you cannot reconfigure modifiers to make the totals mean anything you intended it to. if you are in season, only use modifiers at that point to affect statistical outcomes of your league.

just for sh%# and grins -- i'd wager a RL trend dipping into .240's BA for sure... i just don't like it and have no respect for it, lol. likely a continued increase in SO, too. the culture and personality shift is not geared toward patience, lol... nor understanding gratification that isn't instant. a "2-strike" approach is always difficult to teach younger players, but they are even more obstinate now than ever before. so, lots of SO and low BA is almost guaranteed. i don't let me leagues follow that trend.. nor the ~6k HR totals.
