Due to yesterday's rainout, the Rangers and Orioles will play in a double header in Baltimore today.

In the top of the second, the Rangers loaded the bases with nobody out. King then put the Rangers on the board with a 2 run single. A walk to Maddox reloaded the bases with one out. Harrah flew to left for the second out. Then Nelson hit a 2 run single. The Rangers batted around the order in the inning.

In the bottom of the third, Grich hit a solo home run.

After three: Texas 4 Baltimore 1.

In the top of the fifth, Nelson scored from third on a Mincher groundout to second.

After six: Texas 5 Baltimore 1.

In the bottom of the seventh, Etchebarren hit an RBI single. Pinch hitter Don Baylor hit a fly ball to center but Maddox threw Blair out at home as he tagged up at third and tried to score.

Doyle Alexander took the mound for the Orioles in the top of the eighth inning. Ford led off with a home run.

Horacio Pina took the mound for the Rangers in the bottom of the eighth. The Orioles loaded the bases with nobody out. Pina hit Johnson with a pitch to force in a run. Robinson followed with an RBI single. Pina struck out Blair. One away. Etchebarren flew to right for the second out. Pinch hitter Rich Coggins drew a four pitch walk to force in a run to cut the lead to one. Grich then grounded to short to end the inning as the Orioles batted around the order.

Eddie Watt took the mound for the Orioles in the top of the ninth.

Paul Lindblad took the mound for the Rangers in the bottom of the ninth. The Orioles put the tying run on first but Johnson flew to center to end the game and Bosman finally had his first win of the season.

The Orioles lost despite pounding out 11 hits.

Final score: Texas 6 Baltimore 5.

Mike Paul took the mound for the Rangers in the bottom of the sixth. The Orioles loaded the bases with one out. Powell walked to bring home a run. Baylor then grounded into the inning ending 6-4-3.

After six: Baltimore 6 Texas 0.

Casey Cox took the mound for the Rangers in the bottom of the eighth.

In the top of the ninth, the Rangers loaded the bases with nobody out. Burroughs brought one home with a single. Mincher popped into the infield fly rule for the first out. Billings then grounded into the game ending 6-4-3.

Final score: Baltimore 6 Texas 1.
