We are getting near the limit of the friends list. I suggest the following workaround to the limit.
If you are in Perfect League and sure to stay there, delete diamond members if necessary to add new Perfect members.
If you are in Diamond now and sure to not be promoted, add the new diamond members and delete Perfect members if needed.
If you might move from one level to the other, you should probably wait until your fate is known before adding all of the members on the level where you will be next season. Then you could add members from the other level until you run out of room.
Hopefully, that makes sense. The short version is be sure to add all of the members on your level for next season, and any others for which you have room on your friends list.
Perhaps the limit will be expanded in the near future and then we can add everyone.
