the game gets run on 1 person's computer. data integrity isn't a problem. if they do any memory/file edits, it will stand out like a sore thumb.
it's got to be able to recognize corrupt or different data... as you submit your team back and it's different than the other 30 playes data on your team etc... if not, that's be a simple check. it has to do this, or it can't handle a basic potential problem of merging data once everone sends back their lineups and stuff for the week.
the only concern is your comissioner.
as long as it all gets merged back at one cetral location, the truth should out any nefarious ongoings -- unless they did it to all "30" submissions, so that it doesn't stand out.
nothing you can do with a corrupt comissioner, except look for a new league.
i'd avoid any leagues that the bulk is a RL clique. they are more likely to rationalize treating their friends differently than the rules allow. you don't give special treatment to random people as often, right?
one of the first fantasy football leagues i was in allowed a trade of kevin jones? (det rb, 1/2 year wonder) and some more trash for peyton manning.... the year he threw for ~50TD and 5k yards before anyone else matched it in the next few years. (brees / brady did it after). one team was out of the playoffs and wanted to trade manning to their "friend"..... never underestimate the shadiness of people... it's human nature to cheat and lie. you have to learn not to do these things and it isn't an easy task. most don't try at all in their formative years... then you get things like brexit and a wall, lol.
