Checking the stats of all pitchers in 30 leagues showed that as a whole, extreme FB pitchers have a lower ERA than extreme GB. As you cross the spectrum from extreme GB to extreme FB, the ERAs go steadily down... 4.27 / 4.21 / 4.19 / 4.09 / 4.00
While HRs went up as you move to extreme FB, Hits and Walks went down. Ex GB walked batters at a rate of 3.9 per 9 innings while Ex FB is 3.0. In the same manner, hits went from 9.2 to 8.7 so BB+HA per 9 innings is 13.1 for Ex GB and 11.7 for Ex FB.
Edit - Tomorrow I plan on seeing what the average movement and control is for the five categories. I would not be surprised if as a whole, the Ex GB pitchers have lower control and stuff. Don't know how else to account for increased walks and decreased Ks. We'll see...
