simply download the patch to your computer, where you normally save them - even your desktop is OK .(i have a separate folder, where i keep all the updates for a season, in case i need to roll back - so i rename them when i save them - something as 19.01.131).
Quit playing your game. Double click to open the exe file you have downloaded and let it do it's thing. when it is finished, reopen the game. It's really that simple. it'll overwrite what files it needs to. it'll save into the same folders as the previous versions, unless you have customized some locations. As mentioned in Markus write -up no need to un-license or anything.
