T.J. Zeuch was as good as a pitcher can be today, as he hurled a perfect game against the
Boston Red Sox.
In doing so,
Zeuch accomplished one of the most difficult feats in baseball and one that will put his name in the record books.
"I can tell you I've dreamed about a day like this,"
Zeuch told the press after the game. "Now that I've done it, the feeling is even better."
In his splendid 1-0 victory at Rogers Centre,
Zeuch yielded no hits, walked none and had 14 strikeouts. In the historic outing, he retired 27 successive batters.
So far this season
Zeuch has a 12-1 record, 21 starts, 116.2 innings, 94 strikeouts, and a 2.70 ERA.
