UBL looking for new blood

The UBL has been around since 2003 and we are currently in the year 2075. The Las Vegas Gamblers have just beaten the St. Louis Cardinals for the title, as several teams say their first playoff appearance in over a decade. We have a fantastic group of owners and are in the process of changing several things in order to spice up the league (hey, 15 real years is a long time). Our league has a 100M cap, the DH in both leagues, no extending of arby players, and we sim 3x week for 8 days.

We are making a few changes for the 2076 season including equalizing TV deals and market sizes (so even if you are in TB/KC you can spend money if you win), we will have a live draft this season, and we are allowing new owners 1 amnesty cut. In addition, we are phasing out FA compensation and moving the trade deadline to the roster expansion deadline (August 31). We are also setting up a winter development league where players can earn points for development, and considering a draft spot tournament where the bottom X seeds compete for the top pick (reduce tanking, give people something to play for). So it's almost like joining a new league.

We also have a nice version of Statslab running since we have quite a few on the beta team. If you are interested, PM here since we have registration turned off on the boards.

Teams available:
Anaheim Angels- A powerhouse over the past few decade or so, the owner moved to his home town A's and wants this team to a good home.

Texas Rangers
- This team is a project about 3 decades in the making and still could use some help. Not sure what they need, but TLC is a must.

Houston Astros - This team is only a few seasons removed from playoff dominance, but is struggling without attention. The former owner had some life issues, came back, but could not make it work. Bring them back to the top!

Cincinnati Reds - The team is on the up, just finishing over .500 for the first time in a while. The team has been to the playoffs 2x in the past 30 seasons and could use some love.

Milwaukee Brewers - The team was on the upswing before real life issue caught up with the owner. Once again, a good team in one of the toughest divisions, who wants em?
