04/19/1981 (Game 2) - Expos Need Extras to Top Mets

The Montreal Expos topped the New York Mets, 6-5, with third baseman Larry Parrish playing a big role. Parrish went 2-3 with 2 singles, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs for the Expos in the win. Tom P Gorman got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. The Expos are off to an underwhelming start as they look to defend their championship, notching only their 4th win in 9 games.

Andre Dawson's hit in the top of the 11th was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a curveball from Terry Leach for a run-scoring single. It put Montreal in front, 6-5.
