That would be the dream scenario, although beating the bloody
Astros will be a hard ask. Best case would be making the Wild Card game, gain some attendance and excitement, and then enter the 2020/21 offseason with $40M-$50M to spend and sign a big pitcher for that... of course we still have
Samardzija and
Choo on the payroll for this season.
What excites me about the rotation is the fact that we have depth, albeit still on a low level of current ability. But, once one or two show signs of really making the jump, this group should be good enough to keep us in every game so that our offense can win it. ..
Bobby Bradley will be a key to that area. If the rest of the bunch performs like last year, and Bradley becomes a .260-30-100 hitter, we can be top 5 in the offense in the AL.
