In the leagues I'm in the Diamond pitchers have an overall ERA that is higher than the Gold pitchers. It used to be a larger gap, but has gotten smaller until they are almost identical, but even if the same that would make the Diamond pitchers overvalued still. In over 10000 innings, Diamonds are 3.66 while in just short of 34000 innings, golds are 3.63. The gap used to be 3.78 to 3.92, so it may still be that the Diamonds will surpass the golds, but those are the only categories where the higher category has a higher ERA. For the cost difference, it makes gold pitchers a bargain in comparison.
