Yeah, and it took a LOONG time in front of my PC to cobble together deals to get that done. The bottleneck will be the starting pitching in my opinion, and I will try to get a respectable groundball pitcher in... but that is a hard ask.
The only ace caliber pitcher/ace potential pitcher that is at the MLB level, and that has a service time below 5 years and not a big contract is
Freddy Peralta from the
Brewers, and he had a 4.32ERA and they want the kitchen sink for him... and he is not exactly a groundballer.
After that, there is 50 feet of expensive, old crap, and then there is a glut of 3.5-3* pitchers, and we have enough of pitchers with 3* potential already... I may just try to get one that is a bit further developed than ours... and that I can lure into a good extension...
Also, there is not a lot of high potential pitching in the minors, which is why I keep on praying for
Allan to work out...
