Pitching:

Close to the majors: AAA RHSP Alex Lange(24, 1.5/3*), AAA RHSP Pauly Milto(22, 1/2.5*), AAA LHSP Thomas Szapucki(23, 0.5/3*)

Others: AA RHSP Hans Crouse(21, 0.5/2.5*, #22 prospect), A RHSP Matthew Allen(18, 0.5/3.5*, #2 prospect), R SP Justin Campbell(18, 0.5/2.5*)

Dropped out: RHSP Albert Abreu(MLB), AA RHSP Bryan Mata

We added some good arms via trade, and Adbert Alzolay, who was decent at the major league level, still has rookie eligibility and is the #29 prospect via the OSA. As for high upside pitching, Allen could be the ticket here, but he is at least two, most likely three to four years away. Where we may need to add... is relief pitching.

Catcher:

Close to the majors: none

Others: AAA C Edgardo Rodriguez(18, 0.5/3.5*), A- C David Garcia(19, 0.5/2.5*), R C CJ Rodriguez(19, 0.5/3*)

Dropped out: C Matt Whatley(MLB)

Infield:

Close to the majors: 3B Anderson A. Tejeda(21, 0.5/3*), SS Chris Seise(20, 1/3*, #68 prospect)

Others: A+ 2B Tucupita Marcano(20, 0.5/3*), A+ 2B Richie Palacios(22, 0.5/3*), A 2B Matt McLain(20, 0.5/4.5*), R 1B Brayden Combs(20, 0.5/3*), A SS Alvaro Gonzalez(19, 0.5/3*), A SS Luis Mota(18, 0.5/3*)

Dropped out: 2B Brandon Lowe(Age)

Chris Seise certainly is the best prospect here as he looks to be the complete package, high average, great defense, speed. We also think that Matt McLain, our 4th rounder in 2018, could become something special. Yes, he has not really performed in A ball, batting .242 with a 62OPS+, but give him time. He can be a better version of Seise, playing at 2B.

Around him, we have a bunch of interesting kids, some drafted last year, some snagged up on minor league contracts over the last six months and I think we should continue to scout free agents that are 19 or younger, maybe we find something nice.

Outfield:

Close to the majors: AAA RF Daniel Johnson Jr.(24, 1.5/3*)

Others: AA LF Cesar Ortega(18, 0.5/4*), AA CF Hunter Bishop(21, 0.5/3*), AA CF Cole Brannen(21, 0.5/3*), A Raimfer Salinas(18, 0.5/3.5*), CF Tyler Williams(19, 0.5/3*)

Dropped out: none

Johnson Jr. did not really develop in AAA last season, and it is about time he does... Below that, we have a strong group in AA consisting of trade acquisitions and our fourth round pick this year, and with our MLB outfield being pretty crowded already, we are looking fine here.
