Eventually every single one of you (not specifically you Maddox, but you gave me the best quote) is going to come around to my side and agree that rewards need to be scaled by level.
A meatball team will only work in a crap league because low/mid-level sluggers playing out of position don't hit any better than good players who can actually play the position they're listed at.
And so many people keep insist that this kind of cheating (meatballing/sandbagging) won't pay off. 17,000 pp is more than I've earned in the entire beta and real game combined, and I've generally fielded a good team that's earned a fair bit of money.
4 games like that in a season and the guy gets the same amount as a player who had spent $50 on pp. How will that look to people who have spent real money?
The only way to prevent stuff like this is to make it unrewarding. Policing it is a potential nightmare. Not only is it hard to determine where the line is, but developers doing manual reviews of PT teams is a poor use of their time IMHO.
I know most of you still don't agree with this concept, so there's no need to start. But a few more posts like the OP's and you'll come around.
