Sox kept on asking for more.

Albert Abreu was sent back down to AAA as
Tom Eshelman is back healthy.

Well, well, a decent month, and we actually were in fourth in the division for a couple of days this month. On the other hand, our very handsome owner gave me a little review of the season... and he was unhappy with our record, our first baseman, and the fact that we let
Beltre go, and not quite happy with our defensive efficiency and our attendance... I'm doing the best I can.
Our starting pitching let us down a bit this month... and for the whole year, but we will have to roll with most of those guys.
Wagner may go via trade,
Blackburn may go via trade and we bring in
Abreu,
Jurado or a trade acquisition in...
As for the position players... we are a bit too stacked on left-handed position players, and we need to upgrade our defense. I'm very tempted to move
Rougned Odor. His defense at second is below average at age 25, and while he is hitting very fine, in a hitting friendly environment like Arlington, we may want to shake things up here... and we need to give something to get something... right?
Another trade candidate, obviously,
Matt Wieters if we can get anything for him.
A little move that will impact fielding...
Mazara will move to DH against RHP and
Williams will move into right...
Nomar's fielding has been pretty horrible so far... and maybe
Justin can do better... our corner outfield is a mess right now, and we are playing in a flyball park... Moving around guys and bringing the defense together will require some work and some trading over the next 6-9 months...
Positive: Hitting has been pretty good.
Willie Calhoun has swung a hot .337-5-28 .935OPS bat in June,
Williams .369-2-9 .923OPS and
Mazara hit .365-6-14 1.055OPS.
Joey Gallo is second in the AL with 30 home runs,
Royce Lewis is second in stolen bases with 25, and our center fielder
Julio Pablo Martinez leads the AL in triples with 10.
Another problem:
Tony Zych is still laboring through his back soreness and his replacement
Gerson Moreno has an ERA of 27.00 through 5.1 horrible innings... another broken prospect dream? Oh, and both our lefty middle relievers have an ERA over 5...
