It's not at all. This mode is literally fielding the perfect team - AS YOU SEE IT. What I've found fun is digging deep into the AH and grabbing players on the cheap, and so far it has worked out amazingly. The historic cards have played a huge part in my winning the EC in beta and my two leagues thereafter.

The same approach has me up by 6 games in my new EC while only fielding a team of silvers and golds. I have two diamond pitchers starting for me, and to be honest I'd sell the the Thor if there was a market for him.I honestly have two of my four diamonds on my reserve roster at the moment and my team has never played better.

It's not about rankings, unless you're one of those weirdos who just HAS to field a team of all perfects... It's about knowing baseball and knowing what team you want to field and having a strategy to compete and win... And it's a hell of a lot of fun.
