One of my favorite things to do in OOTP is to watch games. In PT, that has changed to watching a lot of highlights. To that end, I was never a big fan of the generic ballpark. I have always been a fan of asymmetric layouts. There are a few nice ones to choose from (e.g. Fenway). I didn't want to go with the obvious choice but I do like a field that has more real estate in right field to give the speedy lefties a chance to log a few more triples each season.

So, in the end I decided to use Progressive Field, the home of the Cleveland Indians. Now, simply applying the 3D skin isn't enough - I have to go the Full Monty. I pulled up Google Maps and copied the Lat/Lon data so my sunrise/sunset and weather information would match. I also found the dimensions of the outfield fences online and copied that data into the game. I also found a resource for ballpark effects so I could modify the stadium to match the effects of Progressive Field in 2018. The effect is subtle as I wanted to use a real-world field instead of just making a bandbox or cavern for my team to play in. It's just one of those little things that makes the game more fun for me.
