I opened dozens of packs in the beta (including a bunch on the last day after selling almost all the cards I had accumulated) and never got a diamond or perfect. I think I only pulled maybe 6 or 7 golds out of all those packs. The only diamond card I had in the beta was a 92 Nola which (a) is kind of a garbage card and (b) was purchased through the AH because someone had a pretty low buy now price on it.
