Me, I'm in the playoffs despite being near the bottom in every offensive category. The problem with my defense first strategy is that I really have no further way to improve now short of saving up for perfect pitchers. The top position players really don't have the defensive chops that I'm looking for, and I'm not sure the guys I have will hit enough to remain a 95-105 win team next year.

It's not like a solo league where there are a huge abundance of players, and there are always 1 or 2 out there who will catch my eye.

Maybe in the real version I'll settle for 'above average' defensively and focus more on OBP.
Yeah, I figure I'm getting promoted since it says 16 teams. I enjoyed the division, but it certainly was a painful one. It is a bummer when you look at some of the other divisions and see you could be in the pennant chase, while you are 15+ games behind in your division.

I think that is somewhat what I ran into this season. Where I upgraded it tended to be at the expense of defensive ability, and my pitching staff was facing tougher teams. So I still did decently on getting runs, but I gave up a lot more than I did before, and when it came to games that were close, this season we were on the losing side of that equation more often than not. My defensive efficiency was horrible this season. The rate at which I'm generating PP now, maybe 3000 or so in a season, upgrading the team is going to be a slow process and probably involve selling off someone like Arenado who doesn't seem to produce as would be expected. His 25+ HR were nice, but he has hit about .230 for me the entire time I've had him.

Good luck in the playoffs.
