Hate to break it to you but it appears that you're wrong. Here are the responses I got:

If this was true, no one would win a World Series in OOTP ever. But I've won dozens in my time playing OOTP and so have most other players.

Just have him sim through a few dozen seasons and play out the World series each time with that same team and he'll win 80% of them.

If the team with the better record must win the WS (or otherwise the AI is cheating), then why play the games at all? Just declare the team with the best record at the end of the regular season to be the world champion and move on to the winter meetings.

It's like elections. If a candidate consistently leads in the polls prior to election day, why bother having the election? After all, that candidate is bound to win anyway. Just ask President Hillary Clinton about that.

Especially in a short series, anything could happen. Play that series 100 times and his team probably wins 95 of them. But that still leaves a few times that the bullpen implodes and you lose. Just because you hit one, doesn't mean the game is rigged against you.

The expectations caused by having real names helps confuse the issue. I challenge those who believe the AI cheats to use a fictional league, remove the name factor and run multiple iterations of the playoffs to collect data.
