Hello everybody,

so, the time has come. We have finally released the Perfect Team public beta today.

What is Pefect Team?

How will it work?
We just released a regular OOTP 19 update (version number 19.9.111) which will have the Perfect Team mode enabled. In order to play it, you need to log in with your Challenge Mode account (Perfect Team shares the same account) or register one from the OOTP 19 start screen. For starters, you get 6 player card packs which contain 6 players each, for a total of 36 cards. They are the foundation for your team. You also get 1000 Perfect Points, which is the currency in the Perfect Team universe.

General Beta Info
This beta version of Perfect Team has been tested for several weeks prior to this public beta release, but we still expect bugs and technical issues, for example server outages or (unlikely) complete resets which could result in all teams & cards being wiped out. Also, some cards (values, ratings) and card images may be fine-tuned during the beta.

What happens after the beta concludes?
Once the beta ends late November / early December, we will reset all accounts, so all teams and all cards get wiped out! However, if you did buy Perfect Points with real money, these will not get lost but rather will be redistributed to your Perfect Points balance. Then we will officially launch PT to all users and everybody starts their journey to immortality from scratch (in terms of player cards)

What's the plan for the next few days?
When you have created you Perfect Team, it will join the Entry Pool where it will play random opponents in simulations what run every 30 minutes. Then on Monday, Nov 5, 9 AM ET we will start the regular season cycle, meaning your team gets promoted to the Rookie Leagues and the season starts. The regular season ends 6 days later, Saturday Nov 10, and the playoffs will be simulated on Sunday Nov 11. On Monday Nov 12, the top X teams (number depends on total teams in the system) will be promoted to the Single A league and a new season begins.

What is missing in this beta at the moment?
- Manager lists & friend feature (so you can check out other manager's profiles & trophy case, even if he is not in your own league)
- Perfect Team Universe screen. That will give an overview of the whole system and let's you see info (standings & league leaders) of different leagues
- Auction stats (eg. average winning bid of the past 5 auctions etc.) The current values in the auction dialog are dummy values.
- Leagues named after famous baseball players (instead of the current format which uses greek letters)
- Playing Challenge Mode will award users PT player card packs on occasion when unlocking achievements
- PT Universe record book & rankings (eg. most wins in a season, most HRs both team & individual player etc.)
- Certain player & team stats carrying over from season to season.
- Unlock the option to purchase Perfect Points

How do we get these new features?
We will release regular updates of OOTP 19 which will have these features enabled bit by bit.

Will the Linux version be able to play PT too?
No, unfortunately our backend provider does not support Linux.
