We were in LA for a three game series with the Dodgers. Juan Maya (6-0, 4.27 ERA, 1.33 WHIP) looked to stay perfect against the red hot B.J. Russow (5-6, 3.05 ERA, 1.04 WHIP). It was a tight one, but we edged them out 2-1 to win our 50th game of the year.

The Giants got C C.J. Willis and RF Alfredo Miranda from the Vultures for LF Joe Gush, RHP Eddie Tripp, and LF Arturo Figeroa. I love this deal for Nashville.
We looked to finish the sweep with Steve Paustian (5-4, 4.73 ERA, 1.46 WHIP) facing former Marlins farmhand Michael Baumann (5-3, 4.44 ERA, 1.13 WHIP). Tied at 9 in the 11th, Kevin Martin hit a walk-off RBI double off Chad Scoles, and the Dodgers salvaged the finale with a extra inning win.

We still sit #1 in the Power Rankings. at 51-18, we have a 10 game lead over our current opponent.
Prospect Watch: CL Pete Werner (AA Jacksonville):
A 23-year-old lefty, Pete Werner has all the tools to be a big league closer. Already rated a 2.5/4.5, he has 100 rated stuff, average movement, and plus control. He has a 100 rated curveball and a plus-plus cutter that averages around 93-95 mph. The former 26th Round Pick of the 2029 draft, I acquired him in January for LF Juan Virto, who I later claimed. In his first AA season, he is 4-0 with a 1.15 ERA and 0.99 WHIP. He has 21 saves and has struck out 48 in 31.1 innings. If he keeps this dominance up, it may not be too long until he's in the big leagues.
We looked to even the series with Esteban Aguirre (10-0, 1.58 ERA, 0.72 WHIP) taking on Jorge Reyna (1-1, 4.40 ERA, 1.47 WHIP). It was a tight one, but we managed to edged the Phillies 2-1.
Aguirre struck out 11 and allowed 5 hits in 5 innings. Ken Adeniran, Shiro Hiraki, and Chad Scoles got holds before Rodolfo Esquiling got the save. Scoles allowed an unearned run in 0.1 innings while Esquilin allowed a hit and struck out 2 to finish the 9th.
Pat Hughes was 2-for-2 with a double, run scored, double, and walk. Mac Horvath was 1-for-3 with a solo homer. Ernie Frye and Juan Ramirez were both 1-for-4. Ken Adeniran was 1-for-1 with a steal. Gregorio Alvarenga was 1-for-3 with a RBI and walk.
June 17th, 2031: We looked to win the rubber match with former Philly Juan Maya (7-0, 4.04 ERA, 1.28 WHIP) facing Luis Manzano (6-3, 4.65 ERA, 1.17 WHIP). It was a close one, but we managed to come on top 3-2.
Maya went 7.2 innings with 5 hits, 2 runs (1 earned), and 8 strikeouts. C.J. LaFever finished the 8th for a hold, while Chad Scoles struck out 2 in the 9th.
Maya was 2-for-3 with a solo homer, his 2nd in as many games. Juan Ramirez aws 1-for-4 with a two run homer. Takeshi Kino****a was 1-for-3 with a walk and double. Juan Simental was 1-for-4 with a double.
Orioles 2B Logan Davidson was 5-for-6 in a 20-4 win over the Rays.
