i agree... nagging dtd could easily do that and expect that stuff to happen. i can't find a cause with this guy. it's like a dtd %-off was applied season long.
still hit .290... just a matter of a power loss due to really bad luck i guess? the only other thing out of whack is a few more SO. not enough to make up for a loss of ~.150 slugging though.
it's crazy how consistent this guy is, otherwise.. 2132 is another 160+ ops year too.
i really think ther's some under-the-hood value that affects player's volatilty... i.e. a guy may be more consistent but will never hit huge HR numbers', while another with same average will be more likely to peak and valley in and given year.
beyond just luck of the dice, otherwise. some guys are machines, and others are all over the place.
