Can you upload the game where the Rangers/Islanders thing happned?
Instructions here. I can't seem to get this to repeat in a test game, I'm wondering if it requires some specific league configuration or group of managers. It'll be useful for checking the minor league issue as well.
What are the names of the random directories it's creating, and the name of the file in them?
