Scheduling bug
In another thread, I was complaining about having too many expansion teams in my fictional league and I wanted to get rid of some of them.
On the first day of the offseason, I went ahead and deleted one team from each league. I was then forced to recreate the schedule at the start of the season. I did that and everything seemed fine.
Well now here I am on September 28th which is the last day of the season. My team has only played 152 games while others ha e 152-153, which is fine, except this is a hundred and sixty-two game league.
Apparently the game knows it's a 162 game season, because it thinks that a team with a .493 PCT still has a mathematical chance - they haven't been classified as "Eliminated" yet.
I simmed ahead a few days and the postseason seems to be progressing as normal, despite the fact that only two divisons have teams that "clinched" .
I did do a backup after I deleted the teams, but if I go back to the backup, how do I prevent this from happening again? For now, I can just pretend this was a strike-shortened season.
