Transactions:
2B Dragoljub Karadzic: Contract Signed: Thank you for letting me play in your minor league system. I hope I will be able to help in the big leagues soon!

When I saw he was a free-agent I figured why not bring him back into the organization so that is what I did. The Dragon is back and will be playing in AAA. Do I expect him to hit the bigs? Not really, but he is our original #1 he belongs here.

Injuries:
OF Juan Rosales, Broken bone in elbow, 4 months, 11-day DL.
SP Juan Cuesta, Torn rotator cuff, 2 months, 11-day DL

GM Notes:
We finished May strong and had a winning week. Have to enjoy winning, but here we go again. Everytime I think about trading away everyone we start to win... its almost like the game can read my mind. I am going to let it ride for now and we will see what happens. I like the players, ok, they may not be the 'best' players around, but I like them... they are my players. I just want to win with them... I guess I need to think about that is liking the players greater than wins??

Speaking of winning, what is going on with our play at home? We just can't get W's at home and that drives me nuts. How do you play so much better on the road? Have I created this team to NOT fit our stadium? But really look at those stats, we lead the league in average and 4th in OBP! How can we be 7th in runs scored? Is it a speed issue? Or maybe my guys just can't hit with runners on... just doesn't make sense.

I am hoping I don't jinx Felipe Suarez, but I signed him out of Cuba for a back-up infielder he wasn't supposed to hit... yet he leads my team in hitting with a .363 average and has earned more playing time. He has played not good enough defense comitting 8 errors in 94 TC's at 3B... But until Tully Maxwell starts to hit (or vice versa) Suarez is my 3B. Maxwell is only hitting .279-3-18 with 147 PA's... Someone has to give me more.

Speaking of Maxwell I am torn about putting him on the DL or not. He is DtD for 1-2 weeks and the injury should only effect his running... I am just a little worried that playing him will lead to a bigger injury or a lingering injury like Carillo had to start the year... something to ponder.

Now here we start off June 9-games out of first and 5.5 out of the wild card. Our season isn't lost yet, but we can't fall too much further back. I think we will have a better chance chasing down the Iron Pigs than we will the Braves and Clippers, but either way I am trying to remain positive and beleive that we have a chance to make the playoffs this year. I really want to win here, there is nothing better than W's and everyone, even these players, now that (Luckily we still have a "happy" team here).

Maybe it is time for me to "change" my thought process and go with the team that plays the best defense, such as Kyle Glendinwyn and not Jorge Matos, Tully Maxwell and not Saurez, and the OF is just a mess... I wonder if that is something I need to look into, better defense more more defense runs saved, which should lead to more W's... Maybe I need to take a deeper look into the metrics and pick the 'best' team that way.
