autocalculate may help. do that every 3-5 years at the start of any fictional league or a new era of a historical league or new totals for whatever reason. a 2018 real players start transitions to fictionally created players. once the league turns over, you won't have to autocalculate at all, if you don't want to. simply make adjustments to modifiers based to fine-tune what you want to see.
i don't suggest making your own totals without a spreadsheet. set formula for babip, slash etc... so you can make sure things jive. you can always import from various historic years too. autocalculate after changes to totals for any reason or every 3-5 years if league is changing, like a transition from real-> fictional or initial players->draft created or feeder created.
