Today is the final game of the series in Brooklyn between the Cubs and Superbas. The Cubs will trying to get a split in the series.

In the bottom of the first, the Superbas got on the board with a Lumley sacrifice fly. The Superbas went on to load the bases with one out. Casey went down on strikes for the second out. Batch then flew out to left to end the inning.

In the top of the fourth, Slagle tied the game with an RBI single.

After six: Chicago 1 Brooklyn 1.

In the top of the seventh, Moran gave the Cubs the lead with an RBI single. Brown then added a run-scoring single to bring to an end the streak of 2-1 final scores in Cubs outcomes.

In the bottom of the seventh, Casey made it a one-run game with an RBI single. Batch then tied it with his own RBI single.

For the third time in four games, the Cubs and Superbas would head into extra innings.

After nine: Chicago 3 Brooklyn 3.

In the top of the tenth, Sheckard gave the Cubs the lead back with an RBI double. An international walk loaded the bases with one out. Schulte grounded to first and Evers was forced at home for the second out. But Steinfeldt brought all three home with a double.

Brown then got the threeup three down to give the Cubs the split in Brooklyn.

The Cubs and Superbas combined for 24 hits in the game.

Final score: Chicago 7 Brooklyn 3 10 innings.
