A 14-14 August... what has happened while I took a break in the FIFA dimension for a while... Seriously, we have such a big cushion in the division, and the injuries played a part in that... and the sheer suckage of some of our pitchers... slaps
Raúl Martínez and
Jorge Segura with a whip... RIGHT GUYS???
Anyways... as for September call-ups...
Martínez will get his last breaths of
Milwaukee air in the big leagues, and will be joined by
Cliff 'I don't work in the majors' Walker and 25-year old righty
Jeff Logan who had a 1.86ERA in AAA this season with 10 saves and is
Segura's replacement for me... despite a little wonky injury history.
Hitting, we let
Ernesto Hernández report up here... and given that
Brownie will be back in 5 days, we just keep the two warm bodies in the outfield around...
Now, the state of affairs. We will most likely face an NL East opponent, historically a hard-fought division... behind the
Phillies who once again crush things... Side note: The
Rangers actually have a higher winning percentage than us... those lofty times of 119 wins are over... and we are +8 over our expected record of 84-47.
Key players taking a step back,
Urias,
Brownie etc...
Hall still not that great, bullpen woes here and there,
Garcia injured... well, this core will age, and I will have to pick up the pieces one day...

August Pitcher of the Month: LHRP
Juan Zamora 0-0 0.00ERA 6.2IP 2H 1BB 10K
Honorable mentions: SP
Frank Lopez 3-1 3.14 6GS 40K 7BB 43.IP
Shocking numbers you want?
Martínez: 0-2 5GS 24IP 7.88ERA...
Segura: 0-1 10G 11.2IP 10.80ERA...
BLOODY HELL...
Even
Doug Mitchell pitched to a 3.86ERA that he SHOULD not have... given a 4.78FIP... owell... just hope that everyone stays healthy for the postseason. We decided against calling up
Juan Chavez despite his good season... he is only 22 and we need his service time when
Lopez and
Urias fall apart in a couple of years...

August Hitter of the Month: 1B
Brian Reyes .294/.361/.588 9HR 20RBI 17R
Honorable mentions: C
Dave Francis .342/.444/.895 18G/8GS 7HR 10RBI 9R
So, one lineup change.
Franis as our everyday catcher. He hit the cover off the ball when we used him in August, and he is the 'future'... in that he is cheap for the next 3-4 seasons and
Jake is not...
Anyways,
Wilkerman's injury leaves a...
Wilkerman big hole in our lineup as
Bradley is a glove first player... we could've called up
Aluizio Ouvegues, who is rated 2.5/5* by our scouting department and could've played there... learning 3B in the majors and as a 22-year old that is not even on the 40-man... decisions like that make us not win the World Series this year... and
Jamison is of course still injured...
Infield in 2027:
Reyes –
Ouvegues –
Rondon –
Jamison...
Outfield in 2027: as it is right now...
Brownie is 35 then...
