My favorite all time RTS is Age of Empires (the first one) and I've loaded that on every computer I've ever bought since then and have played about 20 years and one of my annoyances with the game was you always had to back out of about 5 or 6 screens to get back to the main screen to exit after playing a scenario. And I just noticed LAST YEAR 2017, after almost 20 years of playing, that the very first screen (and all of those between the this and the main screen) have an X in the upper right corner that you could just close the game. As much as I've played this game backing through all of those screens so many times probably adds up to several hours of time I'll never get back. lol
